Recently, leaders of the Bhartiya Janta Party accused the Netflix series ‘A Suitable Boy’ of ‘hurting religious sentiments’ over a temple kissing scene.
Now, Swara Bhasker has reacted to the controversy by sharing her point of view saying they have ‘no right to be offended’.
Responding to the whole scenario Swara took to Twitter and shared, “If the actual #Kathua gangrape of an 8-year-old child inside a temple didn’t make your blood boil and soul shrivel; you have no right to be offended about a fictionalised depiction of a kiss in a temple.“
Prior to Swara’s reaction, the Madhya Pradesh police had booked two Netflix executives for allegedly ‘hurting religious sentiments’ by showing a Hindu woman kissed by a Muslim man at a Hindu temple. An FIR was lodged under section 295 (A) (malicious acts to outrage and insult the religious feelings and beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code after Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha national leader Gaurav Tiwari filed a complaint.
