Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer historical drama Chhaava has emerged as the biggest Bollywood hit of 2025.
Dominating the box office, the film is on the verge of crossing the ₹200 crore mark domestically within its first week.
On Wednesday, Chhaava witnessed a surge in collections, earning ₹32 crore. Given that it was Shivaji Jayanti, the boost was anticipated, bringing the film’s total Indian box office earnings to ₹197.75 crore in just six days.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Chhaava has recorded a gross collection of ₹198.85 crore in India, while its overseas earnings stand at ₹30 crore.
With this, the Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer has officially crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide, bringing its total global earnings to ₹228.85 crore.
Currently, Chhaava is Vicky Kaushal’s second-highest-grossing film, following his 2019 hit Uri: The Surgical Strike. However, with its strong momentum, Chhaava appears poised to surpass Uri and become the biggest hit of his career.
On Wednesday, Chhaava recorded an overall occupancy of 41.41% across 6,677 shows nationwide. Pune continued to lead with the highest occupancy at 84.5% across 774 shows. Following closely, Mumbai saw an impressive 75.25% occupancy with 1,515 shows. Hyderabad registered 42.50% occupancy across 347 shows, while Chennai recorded 24.5% with 76 shows. In Delhi-NCR, the film had an occupancy of 19% across 1,330 shows.
Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, features Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in pivotal roles. The film was released theatrically on February 14.
