Looks like there’s a twitter war on the rise and Kangana Ranaut is just getting started. The actress retaliates to tweets sent out by her peers Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha and Swara Bhasker.
She accused the three actresses of trying to deviate the topic from Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. In a tweet by her Team, Kangana Ranaut tags them and lashes out.
Her tweet reads, “Sushant who had complained of bullying in his Instagram chats, giving interviews & confirming presence of movie mafia has bn killed but Swara (Bhasker), Taapsee (Pannu) & Richa Chadha trying their best to deviate the conversation #KanganaRanaut has strtd for getting Justice for Sushant. Why?”
In an exclusive with Hindustan Times, Taapsee Pannu says that she finds it illogical to hate someone you don’t know well at all. “I don’t have any film of mine which is produced by any of these gangs that she keeps targeting. I never mentioned anywhere that ‘I like Karan Johar or anyone she alleges, but I have never said ‘I hate them either’. So the fact that you don’t hate someone she hates, is equivalent to you like that person? I don’t even know him beyond formal, ‘hi, hello’s and thank you’. So how is this even logical?”
Post Kangana’s piqued tweet yesterday, Pannu posted a tweet of her own saying, “Next time another outstanding talent gets scared to even enter our industry n kills his passion and hope to contribute to Indian cinema coz some people painted purely negative picture about how outsiders are treated do remember YOU are ALSO responsible for it.“
Kangana had once stated in an interview that Taapsee and Swara were ‘needy outsiders’ whose ‘whole existence is a proof of nepotism’. Remembering that, Swara Bhasker took things in her own hands by tweeting, “Nepotism के गेहूँ के चक्कर में हम needy outsiders और B grade actresses भी पिस जाते हैं।”
Swara Bhasker had a very fitting reply to what Ranaut had to say. “-Needy outsider – B grade actress (But) – better looking & better actor than Alia Bhatt & Ananya!” Net net I think this was a compliment! Thanks Kangana! I think u are gorgeous, generous & a great actor ! Shine on”
However, Richa Chadha simply thanked Taapsee for reminding everyone that the need of the hour is solidarity and sanity.
“Thanks Taapsee for highlighting that the need of the hour is solidarity and sanity. When shoots have come to a standstill, cast/crew have no jobs, we must create a positive work culture! Let’s desist from anything counter-productive that’ll increase toxicity in our industry!”
