Imran Khan had recently quit acting as per personal sources but his life has still been in the spotlight for a while now.
Things have been a little rough for the actor on the marriage front and now there’s reportedly an explanation for it.
Imran Khan and his now estranged wife Avantika Malik tied the knot in 2011 and share a child, Imara Malik Khan. Unfortunately for the couple, their marriage was a failure as the pair had separated in quite an open manner. However, the two have reportedly not yet filed for divorce but are living separately. It has been almost a year since news of their separation but the duo maintain silence firmly.
However, an NDTV report suggests that apart from the fight, the bigger reason for the couple’s separation is Imran’s supposed affair with Lekha Washington. As per a source, “Imran and Lekha have been seeing each other for some time. Lekha’s husband Pablo Chatterji and Imran were close buddies but a roaring affair between the two started without anyone’s knowledge. In fact, after Avantika moved out of the bungalow, Imran has started introducing Lekha to his circle as well. This has also brought Lekha’s marriage on the brink of a breakdown. Both the families are completely scattered at this point.”
Furthermore, apparently, Imran has rented or bought a place near his own house at Pali Hill for easier meetings with Lekha. “Lekha can be spotted going in and out of the building in the wee hours. It is very close to his own house at Pali Hill, Bandra. Imran is waiting for the divorce to come through to announce this new relationship,” the source continues.
Besides Imran’s affair, Avantika has been pretty open about her feelings on the social media app Instagram. Last year, Malik had posted, “Marriage is hard. Divorce is hard. Choose your hard. Obesity is hard. Being fit is hard. Choose your hard. Being in debt is hard. Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your hard. Communication is hard. Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we can choose our hard. Pick wisely.“
We wonder if this post is in regards to her own separation. Nevertheless, neither Avantika nor Imran have spilled the beans yet.
