The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written a letter showing their solidarity and support to Salman Khan. In the letter, the Federation has profusely thanked the Dabangg actor for his generous contribution towards helping out daily wage workers in the film industry, that were impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
The team at FWICE, comprising of Chief Advisor Ashok Pandit, President B.N Tiwari and General Secretary Ashok Dubey, wrote that they were grateful on the behalf of the media and entertainment industry towards Salman’s Being Human Foundation for feeding the daily wage workers.
“On behalf of all the workers and technicians of the entire media and entertainment industry, we the members of the FWICE would hereby like to thank you for your kindness and generosity towards our members during these difficult times of the lockdown due to COVID-19. The kindness and thoughtfulness that has been showered by you on our members through Being Human Foundation has enabled our workers to survive with dignity in this trying period and are feeding their families with a little ease.”
The Film body further appreciated Salman’s selfless help in bearing the medical expenses of the poor workers over the years, via generous donations through his Being Human NGO. They lauded him for always being patriotic and helping out whenever the nation is affected by any natural calamity!
“You have always helped these poor workers selflessly and stood with them during all their difficulties. May it be their expensive medical treatments or any other criticalities. Since past many years these workers have received worry free treatments for their highly expensive medical ailments due to your heavy donations to us through the Being Human Foundation. When the nation is affected with any natural calamity you are always on the peak to help the Nation. Your patriotism will always remain high in our hearts.”
FWICE concluded by assuring their collective support to the actor in any situation, should the need ever arise in future!
“Sir, we wish to assure you that we along with all our affiliate associations and scores of their members stand in solidarity of your support in this situation. If need arises, we are all ready to collectively raise our voices supporting you in any situation.”
Bhaijaan of Bollywood, Salman Khan has financially supported 25,000 daily wage workers who suffered badly because of the lockdown. Earlier, talking to India TV, BN Tiwari, FWICE President had said, “We had given him the final list of 23,000 workers so far, who were in dire need of financial help. He has transferred about Rs 3,000 to every worker and he will transfer money again after some time.”
The actor had also launched a free food initiative with ‘Being Hangryy’ food trucks to help needy families during the Corona crisis. Having introduced sanitizers under his personal grooming and care brand ‘FRSH’, he had contributed over 1 lakh sanitizer bottles to the Mumbai Police.
