With coronavirus cases skyrocketing and taking over the media industry now, many celebrities have come forth in help.
Chairman of Yash Raj Films, Aditya Chopra, had initially credited money into accounts of many daily wage earners within the industry.
The director has now established a foundation of his own named ‘Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative’ to help support daily wage staff.
Aditya Chopra has taken cognizance of the large socio-economic and humanitarian crisis that the daily employees within the industry are presently facing. The Yash Chopra Foundation is rolling out the ‘Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative’ so thousands of daily wage earners will be positively affected during these turbulent and extremely unpredictable times.
As promised, the foundation will supply a direct benefit transfer of Rs 5000 to the women and senior citizens working in the industry. Yash Chopra Saathi Initiative will also distribute Ration kits to workers for a family of 4 for an entire month through their NGO partners Youth Feed India.
