Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus Heeramandi release date out!
Touted to be the biggest web show from India, the 8-episode series will stream exclusively on Netflix.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar also features Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh.
The series explores the cultural reality of Heeramandi, a dazzling district, through the stories of courtesans and their patrons set against the tumultuous backdrop of the Indian freedom struggle of the 1940s.

Based on the concept by Moin Beg, the series is created and directed by Bhansali.
Heeramandi Release Date Out:
On Wednesday evening (March 27), the streaming giant announced the release date of the highly-anticipated series, Heeramandi at an grand event, where the makers organized a drone light show.
The drone show offered a sneak-peek into the world of Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. The event was attended by the show’s star cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin, and Sanjeeda, Prerna Singh, CEO of Bhansali Productions, and Tanya Bami, Director of Series, Netflix India.

Releasing on 1st May 2024!
Announcing the release date on social media, Netflix India wrote, “The moment you’ve been waiting for!! Finally, here is the release date of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first-ever, epic, glorious series- Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar coming on 1st May, only on Netflix!! 💎❤️✨”
At the release date announcement event, Bhansali said –

Heeramandi Synopsis:
“In the midst of a power struggle in Heeramandi, a young heir caught in the crossfire chooses love over succession, disrupting the status quo. Set in pre-independent India against a burgeoning freedom movement, the final thread holding the art of tawaifs (courtesans) is put to the test.”
