While many actors look forward to collaborating with their peers, Aamir admits that his focus has always been on the bigger picture – the story itself.
“There are a lot of actors I’ve had a great time working with, but I don’t focus on who I might enjoy working with next. My mind is more on the story we’re creating—that’s what gets me excited. There are actors I have fun collaborating with, but if they aren’t right for the role, then that’s not my priority. It’s more about what we’re all focused on and what we’re trying to create together. It’s about finding the right fit for that,” he explained.
For Aamir, choosing a project isn’t about personal preferences but about ensuring the film’s vision is realized in the best way possible.

“If I’m wrong, then I should step back too. I just want the film’s requirements or the creative excitement to be justified, not just about who you have fun working with.”

“It’s been a great time working with all my co-stars, but honestly, I’m more excited about working with the writers and directors. Throughout my career, I feel like I’ve been closer to directors and writers rather than the actors. I’m not really sure if it was the right thing to do, but that’s just how it happened,” he shared.
I Want To Give Opportunities To Young People, Says Aamir Khan
Aamir is not just an actor—he’s also a producer who is passionate about bringing fresh voices to the industry. His focus is on creating films with compelling narratives and nurturing emerging talent.
“I want to give opportunities to young people. I want to produce films that have great stories, great performances, and great writing, and that feature unusual narratives. Look, anyone can make an action film, but bringing an unusual story to the table isn’t something just anyone can do. I want to showcase that talent that I appreciate. That’s why I want to produce more films—it’s the only reason I want to produce more films, so I can throw more talent into the industry.”
