Has Sunny Deol hiked his movie fees post the record-breaking success of Gadar 2?
The actor is riding high on success after his latest outing recently crossed Rs 450 crores at the box office.
Recent reports suggest that Sunny Deol has decided to charge Rs 50 crores per movie after Gadar 2 became the fastest film to cross the 450-crore mark at the box office, leaving behind Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan.
As per reports, Sunny used to charge around Rs 8 crores for each movie that he signed.
Meanwhile, talking to Bollywood Hungama, Sunny finally broke his silence on reports of him hiking his movie fees. Talking about it, he clarified that money matters are personal and should not be publicised. He said –
“First of all, I feel money matters are very personal. No one shares exactly what he or she earns, even to (the) close ones. Secondly, what I charge or don’t charge will be decided when I sign my next film. Right now, we are all trying to process of enormity of the success of Gadar 2.”
Sunny also went on to reveal that he knows his worth and won’t compromise on his price.
“I know my worth. Even in my lowest ebb, I didn’t compromise with my price. At the same time, main samajhdaar insaan hoon. I know today Sunny Deol is being seen in a different light. Lekin main toh wahi hoon jahan main tha. Logon ka nazariya badal gaya hai (I am where I was, people’s perception has changed).”
– he further added.
“For me my family is my greatest wealth. Aur kya chahiye?”
– he concluded.
Sunny Deol On Gadar 2 Success:
During an interview with Variety, Sunny Deol opened up on the success of the movie and said –
“The last I saw this kind of celebration happening was when ‘Gadar’ released and the people were enjoying and celebrating it. And after that, one is getting to see all this. I’m just on top of the world and feeling so happy.”

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 iconic movie. Set against the backdrop of the ‘Crush India Movement’ of 1971, the story of Gadar 2 takes off exactly from the makers had left things off back in 2001.
Sunny reprised his role as powerful truck driver Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel was seen as his wife Sakina and Utkarsh Sharma as their grown up son Charanjit Singh aka Jeete.
