Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi have both been questioned as witnesses in the conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s case.
Sukesh was behind an alleged money-laundering scam of 200 crores! It was rumoured that Jacqueline dated Sukesh, though she denied it.
However, their old pics went viral – fueling even more speculation. As per the latest NDTV report, Jacqueline and Nora have confessed to receiving expensive, multi-crore gifts from the fraudster.
Sukesh allegedly made a ‘spoof call’ replicating the office number of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to get into contact with Jacqueline. While Nora became his target after his wife Leena Paul met her at a charity programme in Chennai!
What Did He Give Nora?
Nora Fatehi confessed that Sukesh had gifted her a BMW sedan. As per TOI report, the ED charge sheet reads that on her request, around Rs 75 lakh was given to B. Mohan Raj in Chennai! Nora was also given a Gucci bag and an iPhone.
What Did Sukesh Chandrashekhar Gift Jacqueline?
On the other hand, Jacqueline received a range of expensive gifts – one of them being a Mini Cooper car which she later returned. Other gifts include a horse worth ₹ 52 lakh and a Persian cat worth ₹ 9 lakh, an expensive Rolex watch and 15 pairs of earrings!
Chandrashekhar also spoilt her with branded luxury gifts like Hermes bracelet, Gucci gym outfits, Gucci shoes, 5 Birkin bags as well as Louis Vuitton bags.
Chandrashekhar also gave a BMW car to Geraldine Fernandez, Jacqueline’s US-based sister. The ED charge sheet further mentions that he also gave 180k dollars and a Porsche car to Jacqueline’s mother.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline’s statement to the agency accepts that her sister took a loan of $1,50,000 from Chandrasekhar. She also confessed that Sukesh had sent Rs 15 lakh to her Australia-based brother.
“I have been speaking to Sukesh since February 2017. In August 2021, he was arrested, after which I never met him. He told me that he is the owner of Sun TV and from the political family of Jayalalithaa,” Jacqueline told the ED, as per TOI report.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar apparently conned her by pretending to be a big fan and trying to convince her to do films in the South at Sun TV.
