From ‘Tiger 3’ to ‘Kick 2’… Superstar Salman Khan has interesting projects lined up ahead of him and ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ is one of them.
Directed by Farhad Samji, the family entertainer stars ‘Housefull 4’ actress Pooja Hegde as the female lead.
‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’ is bankrolled by Salman Khan Films and Sajid Nadidwala’s Nadiadwala Grandsons. Reportedly, the movie also features ‘Notebook’ fame Zahir Iqbal and Aayush Sharma in pivotal roles.
Announced in January 2020, the movie is finally scheduled to go on floors in January next year in Mumbai reportedly. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Salman Khan, who’s Bollywood’s one of the bankable actors, is supposedly getting paid a hefty paycheck of Rs 125 CRORES for ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’.
“Salman Khan is all ready to commence work on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali from January. When the superstar met Sajid Nadiadwala to decide on the dates, the producer made a special request to Salman, which he couldn’t say a no to. Sajid spoke to Salman and requested him to reduce his remuneration as the market scenario is bad and Salman willingly agreed to do it for his friend, Sajid,” an insider informed the portal.
Reportedly, Salman Khan had earlier charged a whopping amount of Rs 150 crores. However, the superstar had reduced his remuneration on his producer-friend Sajid’s request as the market condition is bad.
“Salman has now agreed to be a part of Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali with a remuneration of Rs. 125 crores only, thereby giving a discount of near about 15% to his producer friend. He will however get some share of profits once the film releases, which is the reason why his banner, SKF too, is involved in the film,” the source further added.
Earlier, it was reported that the Salman Khan starrer film might undergo a title change to avoid any controversies during its release. However, there is no official announcement yet.
