Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s son, hit the headlines after being arrested in the alleged Mumbai cruise drugs bust case.
The 23-year-old star kid was finally granted bail by the Bombay High Court on October 28 after spending 3 weeks in jail.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede became a target of a lot of hatred after allegedly being accused of Rs 25-crore-extortion charges. Meanwhile, a vigilance probe against Wankhede is currently underway.
According to NDTV, Sameer Wankhede, who was handling Aryan Khan’s case and 5 other cases, has been removed from Aryan’s drugs probe. The Mumbai cruise drugs case has now been transferred to a central team of the agency in Delhi.
Meanwhile, as reported by India Today, a Mumbai-based business named Vijay Pagare – a witness in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case – has allegedly claimed that the raid on the cruise ship on October 2 was ‘pre-planned’ and SRK’s son Aryan had been ‘framed’ in the case.
Reportedly, Vijay had recorded his statement with the Mumbai Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) on November 3 and 4.
“I have reasons to believe that the raid was pre-planned and Aryan Khan was framed in the drug case. The entire strategy was finalized on September 27, while the cruise ship was raided on October 2,” Vijay told TOI. “My statement was read out to me, and I signed it,” he added.
He also revealed that he already knew the people involved in this case, including the NCB witness Kiran Gosavi, whose selfie with Aryan went viral.
As per India Today, another independent witness used by the NCB, Prabhakar Sail, had previously alleged that some NCB officials had tried to extort money for the release of SRK’s son.
Meanwhile, a Special Enquiry Team (SET) has already been formed to look into the allegations.
