Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan welcomed their second baby boy Jeh aka Jehangir Ali Khan in February this year.
The pics of the little toddler recently went viral. Unfortunately, like their first child Taimur, even Jehangir’s name was subject to a lot of backlash online.
Trolls had likened his Jehangir’s name to the Mughal emperor – Jahangir. However, his namesake is not Jahangir but Bharat Ratna awardee named Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata.
Kareena even came out with her own book – Pregnancy Bible. In the afterword of the book, hubby Saif had revealed that Kareena had once even contemplated ‘surrogacy’ as an option.
As someone who was once a ‘size zero’, Kareena had felt conscious about pregnancy affecting her looks and career.
Saif said – “Things are pressured for a female actor in our industry. How you look is often everything! When we first began our relationship, she was at size zero, shopping in the kids’ section of stores because those were the only things that would fit her. She was doing super well for herself with work and her appearance played a big part in it.”
He further added how Kareena eventually ended up deciding that she was all in –
“Pregnancies take their toll on your body; it takes you a while to return to shape. Kareena was worried about these things. When we first talked about having children, she even briefly wondered if she should consider a surrogate. But she then realised that everything in life needs your 100 per cent. Once she had made up her mind, she was all in,” Saif wrote.
With baby number 2’s face and name revealed to the public, fans are going gaga over the little angel. Kareena is also back on track on the work front – her next is the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. She also has a thriller with Hansal Mehta that she’s co-producing.
