After ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s other projects – ‘Baiju Bawra’ and ‘Heera Mandi’ have already started gathering hype.
Despite having confirmed that he was never offered Baiju Bawra, Ranbir Kapoor’s name keeps popping every now and then associated with the project.
As per a Spotboye report, a source revealed that the only SLB film that RK had rejected was ‘Guzaarish’!
“Ranbir has never been offered Baiju Bawra. So where is the question of saying no to it? The only time Ranbir turned down a role in a Bhansali film was when he was offered Guzaarish. Bhansali offered him the role that was eventually played by Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Ranbir had a valid reason for turning it down. He told Bhansali, ‘How can I play a supporting role to Hrithik Roshan? It will typecast me as a supporting actor.’ And that was that,” the source added.
Talking about the Baiju Bawra casting, the report further mentioned that it is Ranveer Singh who’s being seriously considered to headline the project. However, since the filmmaker’s priority is ‘Heera Mandi’ first, nothing has been made official as of yet.
Ranveer has already had a successful hattrick with SLB boasting of career-defining movies like ‘Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’. Would you like to see the duo reunited for the project?
