As the movie completes a decade today, here’s some fun trivia to celebrate the special occasion! Did you know the casting process of the movie had undergone quite some changes before the final trio was locked in?
As per reports, Farhan Akhtar was initially going to direct ZNMD and he had wanted Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Vivek Oberoi in the cast. However, that didn’t work out, as SRK dropped out.
So SRK’s role went to Hrithik. Hrithik’s role was taken up by Abhay Deol and Vivek Oberoi’s role was done by Farhan Akhtar!
Moreover, when Zoya became the director – she had also offered the lead roles to Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor but they turned them down, and the rest is history! Whoa! Imagine how different it would’ve turned out!
Meanwhile, there was buzz about a female version of ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ with Alia Bhatt and two actresses – but nothing has been confirmed yet. Let’s wait and see if the makers follow up with a sequel!
