Since its announcement, Karan Johar’s dream project ‘Takht’ has been making headlines.
This magnum opus apparently has an amazing star-studded ensemble cast.
Recently, rumors went rife that filmmaker Karan Johar’s most ambitious project ‘Takht’ has reportedly been shelved due to a financial crunch brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, now, as reported by Spotboye, Karan himself has refuted the reports of ‘Takht’ being shelved.
“’Takht’ is not shelved. It’s just delayed,” Karan confirmed to the portal.
The report further reveals that Karan is currently focusing on wrapping up pending works of films that are already on floors before he starts his own mega project.
Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor starrer ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ is apparently on the verge of completion, which is followed by the long-delayed Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Brahmastra’.
And, there is also Vijay Devarakonda’s Bollywood debut movie ‘Liger’, co-starring Ananya Panday.
Set in the Mughal era, this historical drama was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on December 24, 2021.
Clearly, it’s not the case anymore.
