Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut never fails to impress the audiences with her impeccable acting.
Post ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi’, Kangana is all set to be seen in a warrior avatar once again.
The actress seems to be turning Manikarnika into a franchise as she announced her upcoming historical drama titled ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda’.
Sharing the news, Kangana took to Twitter and wrote, “Humara bharatvarsh sakshi raha hai Jhansi ki rani jaise kai veeranganao ki kahaani ka. Aisi hi ek aur ankahee veergatha hai Kashmir ki ek rani ki, jisne Mahmud Ghaznavi ko ek nahi, do baar haraya. Le kar aa rahe hain Kamal Jain aur main, #Manikarna Returns: The Queen Of Didda”
Kangana will essay the role of Didda, Queen of Kashmir, who rose above her disability to rule the unified Kashmir. This historical drama is expected to go on floors in Jan 2022.
For the unversed, Queen Didda, who is considered one of the most fearless monarchs of India, ruled Kashmir for around five decades in the 10th and 11th centuries. She also had defeated Mehmood Ghaznavi twice in battle.
The ‘Panga’ actress will be collaborating with Kamal Jain, who produced ‘Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi‘. The actress reportedly had a meeting with Kamal recently where the script was finalized.
Intending to make a world-class franchise of real-life women heroes, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda’ will be mounted on an international scale, a source revealed to mid-day. The idea is to bring forgotten woman heroes who have constructed the true identity of Bharat, the sources added.
Apart from this one, Kangana has A.L. Vijay’s ‘Thalaivi’, Razneesh Ghai’s ‘Dhaakad’, and Sarvesh Mewara’s ‘Tejas’ in her pipeline.
