From Vicky Donor to Shubh Mangal Savdhaan… our Bollywood has not shied away from exploring, err, ‘sticky’ topics!
No, this time, it’s not Ayushmann Khurrana who’s doing a movie addressing taboo, sexual problems.
The leading star of this upcoming, aptly titled movie ‘Kutubminar’ is Karanvir Bohra! A Spotboye report detailed that Bohra will be essaying a character who suffers endless taunts because of a rare ‘macro-phallus’ (the condition of having an abnormally large penis) disorder.
Despite the rather controversial topic, the movie has a father-son relationship at heart. Apart from Karanvir, it also stars Sanjay Mishra, Tridha Choudhary and Minissha Lamba.
“Yahan par if an actor plays gay, people make presumption on his real-life sexual orientation. The same goes for any affliction. It was brave of Karanvir to take up such a controversial role where a large part of the dialogue will converge on the unusual size of one part of the anatomy,” revealed an informed source to Spotboye.
Commenting on his different look for the role, Karanvir said – “The look is for a film that I’m doing called Kutubminar. It’s a very interesting story, I play a character with a rare disorder. It’s a father-son story where the terrific Sanjay Mishra protects his son from ridicule and taunts.”
