However, did you know that Juhi Chawla was once in Salman Khan‘s sights? The actor apparently had asked Chawla’s dad for her hand in marriage.
Juhi Chawla is currently married to businessman Jay Mehta and the pair have been happily married for the past 25 years. The couple are also blessed with their children, Janhavi and Arjun. Salman Khan on the other hand is still one of B-Towns’s reigning bachelors. Before you think Salman and Juhi had no chance of getting together, we have a little scoop for you.
Did you know that Khan had openly admitted in an interview that he had asked Juhi’s father to marry her? “She is very sweet. Adorable girl. I toh asked her father if he will let her get married to me. He said no.“
When asked about why Juhi’s father rejected Salman’s proposal, “Don’t fit the bill, I guess.“
Writing her birthday wish on Twitter Juhi says, “My well-wishers, tomorrow is my birthday; the flowers you send in affection will die away in 3 days but trees you plant will benefit your children & mine for years. I’m ever so grateful for all the love but our farmers & our Earth need it more.”
Talking to a news channel Juhi spoke excitedly about her birthday plans, “Luckily, the lockdown happened, and we woke up to family celebrations, and being together, realising how comfortable and joyful that is to do. How we missed out on these things, and are not busy running after other people and bigger celebrations. This is a good time… Diwali bhi hai, birthday bhi, let me call my extended family.“
