Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently joined his nephew Arhaan Khan’s podcast for a candid and lighthearted conversation with Arhaan Khan and his friends.
However, the actor refused to offer some tough love, particularly when addressing their Hindi-speaking skills.

During the conversation, Salman questioned Arhaan and his friends about their motivation for starting the podcast. When they admitted it was more of a “passing passion” and a way to create memories, Salman said, “You should start by doing all of this in Hindi first.”
At this moment, one of Arhaan’s friends remarked, “Inko Hindi nahi aati“ (they don’t know Hindi), referring to Arhaan and another friend. Arhaan himself acknowledged, “My Hindi is very poor.” In response, Salman urged them to converse in Hindi, assuring them that he would correct any mistakes they made.

As Arhaan jokingly mentioned needing “Hindi classes, a tutor, and practice,” Salman responded firmly, saying, “You should be ashamed if you don’t know Hindi. You need to cater to an audience that understands the language.” Though said in a lighthearted manner, his remark underscored the importance of knowing Hindi, especially for Arhaan, given his Bollywood background.
Apart from the language debate, Salman also questioned Arhaan and his friends about their career aspirations. He advised Arhaan to first identify his strengths and weaknesses before venturing into the film industry. As the son of Arbaaz Khan and Malaika Arora, Arhaan is already in the public eye, making Salman’s guidance especially valuable if he chooses to pursue a career in Bollywood.
Though the conversation was lighthearted, Salman Khan’s words conveyed a deeper message about the importance of Hindi in Indian cinema and the responsibility young Bollywood aspirants have toward their audience.
