After accusing Anurag Kashyap of sexual misconduct, Payal Ghosh has joined Union Minister Ramdas Athawale’s Republican Party of India on Monday.
She was also named as the Vice President of the party’s women’s wing.
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale welcomed Ghosh and also thanked her for joining his party. ANI had posted images of the same, Payal can be seen holding the flag of RPI (A). She can be seen with a mask on her face. “I thank her for joining the party and I welcome her,” said party chief and Union Minister Ramdas Athawale.
As per ANI’s tweet, “Maharashtra: Actor Payal Ghosh joins Union Minister Ramdas Athawale-led Republican Party of India (A), in Mumbai. She has been named as the vice president of women’s wing of RPI (A).”
Payal too took to social media and posted an image of her appointment and she captioned it, “I have been appointed as the vice president for women wing of RPI. Thanks @RamdasAthawale sir for believing in me. This is my honor to accept it. It’s one step closer to getting justice. As a woman I am also happy to serve the women community.
Now the ropes will get tighter. Jai Hind..!!”
