Last week, BMC had demolished the alleged ‘illegal portions’ of Kangana Ranaut’s office. Following which, she had moved the Bombay High Court.
The court had adjourned the BMC vs Kangana matter for hearing on September 22. Kangana is now seeking Rs 2 crore in damages for ‘illegal demolition’ of 40 % of her bungalow.
As per Mumbai Mirror report, in an amended petition filed before the Bombay HC, the actress demanded that the civic body pay Rs 2 crore, while listing the property destroyed as collateral damage.
It included three seater vintage sofa, two seater vintage sofa, coffee table, antique mirrors, editing equipment, and desktop, crystal chandelier, Italian lights, exclusive designer chair, speakers, antique pieces, cashmere shawl, Victorian cutlery and 10-15 first edition books among other things.
Apart from the money, Kangana is also seeking HC’s declaration that BMC’s demolition was illegal and contrary to law.
The Mirror report further stated that the matter will be heard next week.
