State Human Rights Commission sends notice to Cooper Hospital and Mumbai Police on Rhea Chakraborty’s visit

The State Human Rights Commission has sent a show-cause notice to Cooper Hospital and the Mumbai Police for apparently allowing Rhea Chakraborty to enter the hospital’s mortuary.

Photos of Rhea along with her brother Showik Chakraborty going to the morgue resurfaced on the internet after which, as per an article by Times Now, the State Human Rights Body demands an explanation for as to how she got access.

Rhea Chakraborty had apparently spent 45 minutes at the mortuary. Suspicion raised when it was learnt that even close family members of the deceased were not allowed to enter the morgue without being assisted by the police of hospital staff, with due permissions.

As per a tweet by ANI, Maharashtra State Human Rights Commission sends notice to Cooper Hospital & Mumbai Police for allowing Rhea Chakraborty to enter the mortuary of Cooper Hospital & seeks details of the regulation following which she was allowed: MA Sayeed, MSHRC. #SushantSinghRajputCase.”
