The coronavirus pandemic has created several issues and one of the biggest issues is unemployment. Several migrant workers had to lose their jobs due to the lockdown. To help this situation, Manoj Bajpayee and wife Shabana joined hands with an organization and have launched Shramik Samman that will help in generating employment for the migrant laborers.
manoj spoke about the project with Mid-Day and said “There are 74 projects on the cards. The plight of the migrant workers has shaken us all, and sadly, their struggle to make ends meet continues. This initiative is the need of the hour. It’s a holistic approach to managing the rural economy. I will also be involved in raising funds.” this project will generate small scale businesses that will help the migrants find employment in their hometown itself.
A cold-pressed oil extraction unit in Bihar, mask-production setups in Mumbai and Faridabad, women’s tailoring unit in Uttrakhand, are a few of the many projects in Shramik Samman.
