Abhishek Bachchan is going to be seen on Amazon Prime Video on the 10th of July for his series Breathe 2, which also marks the actor’s digital debut.
The psycho-thriller series is said to portray Abhishek Bachchan in a never seen before character. Bachchan apparently said yes almost immediately upon hearing of the script and storyline of the series.

Talking to PTI, Abhishek said that the criteria of it being a movie in theatres or a series on OTT was immaterial to him. “When I heard the story, I immediately said yes. The criteria that it was on Amazon Prime Video or that it was going to be a movie or a TV show is immaterial to me. At the end of the day, it was great material which I really liked and wanted to be a part of it.”
Abhishek continued by saying that the audience now prefers a much relatable character as the hero rather than someone who is on higher ground.
“That time is gone when the hero has to be morally on a higher ground to the audience. In today’s day and age, especially the youth, they would much rather see a flawed character achieve something by admitting their flaws and trying to work with it.”
“There are lesser and lesser fantastical characters. Our most popular heroes today are all great characters which have one or two flaws which just makes them real. That just makes the character more tactile and approachable.”
