Fake News: Karan Johar dropped out of Sooryavanshi?

Karan Johar is the producer of Rohit Shetty’s latest smashing film Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar in the lead. Due to all the ‘nepotism in Bollywood’ dilemma, Karan Johar has taken a lot of hits from social media trolling.

The latest rumour in town was that Johar has been dropped from the film and that his investments had been returned. However, this news stays a rumour as we have received clear confirmation that Karan Johar is here to stay.

Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh put our minds to ease with a tweet that cleared all our doubts with regards to Karan Johar being on or off the film. He says, “IMPORTANT… News doing the rounds of KaranJohar not being part of Sooryavanshi is untrue, clarifies RelianceEntertainment.”

Sooryavanshi was set to release on the 27th of March but the date has been pushed towards the latter part of the year post the announcement of the coronavirus lockdown. Fans can now look forward to a Diwali release of the movie in theatres.
