In connection with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, Bandra Police have been recording statements of close family, friends and others concerned. Till now 25 people including Rhea Chakraborty, Mukesh Chhabra, publicist Rohini Iyer, and Sandip Ssingh have given their statement.
Bandra Police had previously asked for copies of the contract signed between Sushant Singh Rajput and Yash Raj Films. As per Mumbai Mirror report, two top former executives of YRF – Ashish Patil and Ashish Singh who were the two signatories on the contract Sushant had signed in 2012, were called in for questioning after police studied the contract.
The police have received his agreement contract copy but the papers regarding his exit from the contract in 2015 have not been made available to them yet.
Talking to India Today, Ashish Singh, former Vice President Production at YRF said, “I cannot divulge details of the contract as it is mentioned in the contract itself. The parting was on very cordial terms and we had been in touch after that. We made two films. Some projects, some films don’t work out. Sushant had left YRF five years back and even after that we were in touch. There were no issues. We should pray for him.”
A few days back, the late actor’s post mortem reports ruled out any foul play by confirming the cause of death as ‘asphyxia due to hanging’.
