An anonymous Industry Insider source who was also Sushant’s close friend told Pinkvilla, that Sushant wasn’t facing financial and work trouble! In fact, his dates were booked till next year and the actor was charging Rs 8 crore per project!
“He had a few films lined up and a few more in discussion. From what I know, his dates were all booked till mid-next year. If he signed the other two films, he would have had five projects by 2022. He was also charging to the tune of Rs 8 crore per project.”
The source further revealed that two producers were planning to meet Sushant later this month to discuss their film. They were even ready to pay Rs 11 crore for the project!
Talking to TOI, filmmaker Anand Gandhi had also commented that Sushant had wanted to be a part of his film ‘Emergence’.
“Over the last three months, we had discussed a lot of ideas that he wanted to be a part of, including Emergence. I would have been delighted to actually turn our aspirations into something more concrete, into something that everyone could hold on to and look at.”
As reported by Mumbai Mirror, Sushant Singh Rajput was also on-board along with rumoured girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty for a rom-com with Director Rumi Jaffrey.
In a report from The Week, it also came to be known that filmmaker Anand Kumar had zeroed in on Sushant Singh Rajput for a biopic on former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia.
