After 15 long years of marriage, Aamir Khan & his wife Kiran Rao had officially announced divorce on July 13, 2021.
The duo had met on the sets of ‘Lagaan’ and got married on December 28, 2005.
Now, after their divorce, we hear that Aamir will be collaborating with his ex-wife for her next directorial. If this Peeping Moon report is to be believed, Kiran is all set to be back on the director’s chair after 11 years.
As the report suggests, the yet-to-be-titled social dramedy will be produced by Aamir under his banner- Aamir Khan Productions.
“Kiran Rao is returning to direction with a story that’s rooted in a village. It’s a social comedy-drama revolving around two girls and one boy. Kiran has completed the scripting and is currently in the process of finalizing the star cast. She is simultaneously also locking the shooting locations in North India to begin the production by the end of December. Actor and producer Tanaji Dasgupta serves as a creative producer on this yet-untitled film,” a source revealed to the portal.
Reportedly, Kiran is planning to show the movie at various international film festivals.
For the unversed, Kiran made her directorial debut in ‘Dhobi Ghat’ (2011), which starred Aamir Khan, Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra, and Kriti Malhotra in titular roles.
Meanwhile, Kiran also happens to be the co-producer of Aamir’s upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
