In the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, the nepotism controversy has sparked to life again. Several Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, and Sonakshi Sinha have been at the receiving end of the netizen’s wrath.
They have resorted to limiting their comment section on Instagram to cut out the negativity and toxic hate. Veteran actress and Alia’s mother Soni Razdan too has jumped on this bandwagon and taken to Instagram with a lengthy post to explain why she chose to limit her Instagram comments.
Though the actress loved getting feedback and comments on her Instagram posts, she has been forced to turn off the comments due to receiving ‘the filthiest abusive muck on it for absolutely no good reason.’
Elaborating further, she claimed that these were attempts by people with vested interests to ‘sully the name of those they are either jealous of, or have been recruited to attack.’
Commenting that people are unaware of many battles going on behind the scenes, Soni Razdan promised to turn on her comments once the ‘morons find someone else to target with their sponsored hate’. She concluded by saying that she loved and missed her fans.
Recently, when her daughter Alia shared the poster of her upcoming film Sadak 2, it was also met with severe backlash as netizens called for the boycott of the movie.
