Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan is set to don the superhero cape once again as he returns with the much-anticipated fourth installment of the Krrish franchise. The ambitious project is scheduled to go on floors after April 2025, following Hrithik’s completion of his current commitments.
Krrish 4: Goes On Floors After War 2 Is Wrapped Up!
As per reports, Hrithik is presently focused on wrapping up Ayan Mukerji’s War 2, the 6th film in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. The final leg of War 2 will involve extensive action sequences, with an April 2025 schedule dedicated entirely to adrenaline-pumping stunts and fights.
A source close to the production revealed, “Ayan has meticulously planned the action for the climax, ensuring it’s nothing short of a spectacle. Once the April schedule concludes, the film will officially be wrapped.”

With War 2 set for an Independence Day release on August 14, 2025, Hrithik will then shift his focus to Krrish 4. The superhero film, produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by Karan Malhotra, marks a reunion for Hrithik and Karan, who previously collaborated on the blockbuster Agneepath.

The script for Krrish 4 has been in development for over two years, with Karan Malhotra and Rakesh Roshan fine-tuning it to perfection. Hrithik, deeply invested in the creative process, aims to push the boundaries of Indian superhero cinema.
The film goes on floors in Summer 2025 and will be shot across Mumbai and select European locations, promising a mix of stunning visuals and high-octane action. Fans of the franchise can look forward to a thrilling cinematic experience as Hrithik reprises his role as India’s beloved superhero.

Hrithik Roshan’s next film, War 2, is slated for a grand theatrical release on August 14, 2025. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film marks the sixth installment in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3.
Joining Hrithik in this spy action thriller are Kiara Advani, who plays the female lead, and Jr NTR, who takes on the role of the formidable antagonist.
