Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bhakshak teaser out now! Bhumi Pednekar will next be seen in the investigative crime-drama titled Bhakshak. The gripping teaser was dropped earlier today (January 18).
Directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan-Gaurav Verma’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie will have a direct-to-digital premiere on Netflix.
Inspired by true events, Bhumi plays the role of a fearless investigative journalist named Vaishali Singh in Bhakshak. The film also features Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar (Mimi fame) in pivotal roles.
The teaser opens with Bhumi visiting a shelter home in Munawwarpur where girls are being physically abused. After getting a report, she is on a quest to bring to light a heinous crime, laying bare the ground reality of crimes against women.
Bhakshak Release Date:
Direct-to-digital premiere on 9th February 2024 on Netflix!
Sharing the release date along with a brand new poster, the actress captioned it,
“Meet Vaishali Singh, a force to be reckoned with, as she battles against the powerful! #Bhakshak, inspired by true events, releasing on 9th February, only on Netflix.”
Bhumi had wrapped up shooting for this movie in February 2022. The actress took to Instagram and shared a picture from the sets of Bhakshak and revealed that the movie was completed in a 39-day shoot schedule.
She wrote, “It has been an emotional roller-coaster, and 39 days later, we wrap #Bhakshak A film that will always remain close to my heart and the narrative that will continue to give me goosebumps. I feel proud bringing to you a jaw-dropping story of women coming together to fight for justice. Produced by @redchilliesent and directed by @justpulkit.”
