Director of Vidya Balan’s iconic movie Parineeta – Pradeep Sarkar is no more.
He died today (24 March 2023) at age 67, at 3.30 am in the morning. The filmmaker was on dialysis and his condition suddenly deteriorated and he passed away.
Born in Kolkata (30 April 1955), Pradeep was visionary creative indeed. He graduated Delhi College of Art and went on to become a famous name in the ad film industry.
He debuted in Bollywood with Parineeta for which he even won the National Award. He’s known for directing Hindi films like Laaga Chunari Me Daag, Lafangey Pandey, Mardaani, and Helicopter Eela.
He has also worked in the web series space – directing ZEE5 shows like Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, Arranged Marriage, Forbidden Love, and Duranga.
Funeral Details –
His funeral will be held at 4pm at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium. May his soul rest in peace!
