KK married his childhood sweetheart, Jyothy Lakshmi Krishna in 1991 before moving to Mumbai. The couple reportedly met when he was in sixth standard.
KK is survived by his wife and two children, son Nakul Krishna Kunnath and daughter Tamara Kunnath.

As per a report, before asking for his ladylove’s in marriage, KK worked as a salesman for three months and then eventually quit the job. His wife and his father convinced him to pursue music and he started working on jingles again.

KK has sung more than 500 songs in Hindi, and 200 in various other languages, including Telugu, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam.
