Popular playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath aka KK passed away yesterday (May 31) at the age of 53.
The legendary singer was performing at a concert in Kolkata, after which he allegedly suffered a heart attack.
From Ajab Si (Om Shanti Om), Tu Jo Mila (Bajrangi Bhaijaan), Zara Sa (Jannat) to Tadap Tadap (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam), Dil Ibadat (Tum Mile) and Pal (album – Pal), KK was the voice behind several musical chartbusters.
KK has sung more than 500 songs in Hindi, and 200 in various other languages, including Telugu, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam. Despite being nominated for several awards, the late singer had won only a few.
