Ranveer Singh‘s last release ‘83, a biopic on former Indian cricketer and captain Kapil Dev was a big success at the box office.
His incredible performance has spurred the talk of the actor eligible for a National Award.
Ranveer said that he is extremely happy about being a potential contender for receiving the National award for ’83 but is not eyeing an award. However, if he gets one he will be extremely happy and motivated to do better.
As per reports, he said, “Have had great opportunities along the way, working with the best directors, developing some memorable characters and so I feel ‘ki mere liye itna kaafi hai yaar, actor hoon ki mujhe acha kaam mil raha hai, logon ka pyaar kamane ko mil raha hai, log pyaar de rahe hain izzat de rahe hain, aur kya chahiye, iske aage main ka boloon.”
He further said, “Agar koi award dena chah raha hai to main sar jhuka ke le loonga, after all what is an award at the end of the day, it is just a pat on your back with someone saying that ‘Hey you did well’ and that kind of motivation and inspiration propels you to do more and better. So I will take that award and propel myself to do more.”
