From ‘Vicky Donor’ to ‘Bhoot Police’ – Yami Gautam has come a long way in the Bollywood industry.
The actress has movies like ‘A Thursday’, ‘Dasvi’, ‘Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga’ & more lined up in her kitty.
Yami will next be seen in ‘A Thursday’, wherein she plays the role of a grey character – an intelligent playschool teacher named Naina Jaiswal who is fierce and endearing. As per reports, Yami’s character takes 16 toddlers in a school hostage.
Directed by Behzad Khambata, the thriller movie also stars Neha Dhupia, Dimple Kapadia and Atul Kulkarni in pivotal roles.
If this Peeping Moon report is to be believed, the makers of ‘A Thursday’ have apparently decided to have a direct-to-digital release on Disney+ Hotstar. With theatres again being shut in several states and rising Covid-19 cases, the makers have skipped the theatrical release.
As the report suggests, “The film is an intriguing fresh story based on a few unforeseen events that unravel on a Thursday. Events go out of control and the police and media scrutiny tear her apart, questioning her sanity and a possible reason for the heinous act.”
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, the movie is expected to release in the next two months. An official announcement will reportedly be made very soon.
