Ayushmann Khurrana has millions of fans who can’t get enough of his talented performances.
However, you might be surprised to know that he did not have the best start in Bollywood and had to face a lot of criticism.
Ayushmann made a successful debut with Vicky Donor but unfortunately gave 3 flops back to back, Nautanki Saala, Bewakoofiyaan, and Hawaizaada.
As per reports, Ayushmann revealed in a recent interview that around the time when he delivered flops, a director told him that he does not “sell”.
The actor told RJ Siddharth Kannan, “One of the filmmakers told me, ‘Ayushmann, you don’t sell.’ I had said no to a film and I was told, ‘Ayushmann, you don’t sell, why are you saying no to this film?’ Upkaar jaise kar rahe ho, ki yeh film kar lo (It was like he was doing me a favour by offering me the film).”
The actor again bounced back to success with the release of Dum Laga Ke Haisha but he was still selective about his projects and did not do another movie for 2 years after that.
“I waited for two years after Dum Laga Ke Haisha, I did not have a release for two years. I was just waiting for the right film,” he said.
Ayushamann also won the National Award for Best Actor in 2019 for his performance in Andhadhun and currently has a lot of interesting projects in his kitty.
