It’s finally the D-Day, guys! The Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif is now officially Mrs. Kaushal.
Vicky Kaushal & Katrina Kaif have tied the knot today (December 9) at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
Katrina Kaif has been ruling our hearts for more than a decade now and is currently one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood. From a flop Bollywood debut with ‘Boom’ in 2003 to her latest blockbuster ‘Sooryavanshi’– Katrina Kaif has come a long way.
While she is at the top of her game now, her journey has not always been a bed of roses. Today, let’s take a trip down memory lane and look back at her acting journey, family & more.
Family:
Born in Hong Kong, Katrina Kaif had lived in several countries before moving to India and trying her luck in the Hindi film industry. From Japan to France to Switzerland and more… Katrina had to move to several countries as her mother works with international NGOs and is required to travel the world.
Katrina Kaif has seven siblings – six sisters (3 elder sisters – Stephanie, Christine and Natasha and 3 younger sisters – Melissa, Sonia, and Isabelle) and one elder brother named Michael. Many of you know her younger sis Isabelle Kaif who had made her B-Town debut in Sooraj Pancholi’s ‘Time To Dance’ in 2021.
Modelling Career:
Did you know Katrina began her career as a model when she was just 14 years old? She had won a beauty pageant in Hawaii (where she resided at that time) and was offered her first modelling assignment for a jewellery brand.
After that, Katrina had pursued modelling professionally in London with freelance agencies and had started to appear regularly at the London Fashion Week.
Acting Journey:
According to reports, Indian filmmaker Kaizad Gustad had spotted Katrina at a fashion show in London and decided to cast her in ‘Boom’ (2003). Produced by Jackie Shroff’s wife Ayesha Shroff, the black comedy thriller movie was a critical and commercial flop at the box office.
In 2005, Katrina had successfully created her mark in Bollywood with Salman Khan’s ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Namastey London’. She had eventually featured in several blockbuster movies like ‘Singh Is King’, ‘Welcome’, ‘New York’, ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’, ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ to name a few.
