After the blockbuster success of ‘Kabir Singh’, Shahid Kapoor is all set for his next movie release- ‘Jersey’.
Directed by Gowtam Tiannuri, the sports drama is the Hindi remake of the National Award-winning Telugu movie of the same name.
The actor will soon be making his highly-anticipated OTT debut with Raj & DK’s upcoming directorial web series ‘Fakes’. The quirky action-thriller series will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
Meanwhile, Shahid is currently busy shooting for filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s upcoming digital movie, which is said to be a Hindi remake of the French thriller movie ‘Nuit Blanche’ (Sleepless Nights). Reportedly, Bhumi Pednekar has been approached to play the female lead in this film.
According to reports, Shahid essays the role of a cop who tries to beat the odds to save his daughter (original featured a son). Now, if this Bollywood Hungama report is to be believed, the Hindi version is said to be titled ‘Bloody Daddy’.
An insider informed the portal- “As of now, Ali and the team is calling it Bloody Daddy. The action saga has Shahid playing a father who tries to save his child and involves a lot of blood and gore, so the title suits the film. It’s a tentative working title but in all probabilities, this would be the title they lock.”
On the work front, Shahid also plays the male lead in Aditya Nimbalkar‘s directorial debut film ‘Bull’. Set in the 1980s, the movie is inspired by the true story of Brigadier Bulsara who led Operation Cactus in the Maldives.
