On Saturday (November 13), Rakul Preet Singh took to Instagram to announce her upcoming movie titled ‘Chhatriwali’. Directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, the social family entertainer is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies.
Unveiling the first-look poster, Rakul wrote, “Bin mausam barsaat kabhi bhi ho sakti hai… Apni chhatri taiyaar rakhiye! ☔ 😉 Presenting the first look of #Chhatriwali🎬”

Rakul, who plays the role of a condom tester, will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar in ‘Chhatriwali’.
As per media, the story reportedly revolves around a female unemployed chemistry graduate from a small town Karnal. Desperate for a job, she then becomes a c*ndom tester, a secret she must hide from everyone around her.
The movie also features Sumeet Vyas and Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles. ‘Chhatriwali’ recently went on floors in Lucknow.
A couple of months ago, rumours went rife that the film had reportedly been shelved as Aparshakti Khurrana’s ‘Helmet’, which also deals with a similar topic, failed to garner much of a buzz.
Earlier, reports did rounds that Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday were initially approached for ‘Chhatriwali’ but they had declined the role.
