Seems like, Akshay Kumar is on a spree of signing back-to-back movies.
Now, the latest buzz is that Akshay is likely to reunite again with Sonakshi Sinha for a new film.
If this media report is to be believed, Akshay Kumar & Sonakshi Sinha will supposedly play the lead roles in director Mudassar Aziz‘s upcoming movie titled ‘2XL’. Reportedly, the movie is expected to go on floors in March 2022.
Akshay Kumar- as the title suggests- is said to be playing the role of an obese man, who faces weight-related issues, in this comedy flick. While there is no confirmation yet, the official announcement is expected to be made soon.
“The film is question has been titled 2XL and will be produced by Ashwin Varde. In terms of casting for 2XL the filmmaker has signed on Akshay Kumar for the lead, while Sonakshi Sinha is likely to be paired opposite him,” a source revealed to the portal.
“Akshay Kumar will be seen playing a rather unconventional role. In fact, as the title suggests 2XL, Kumar will be seen as an obese character somewhat on the lines of the Hollywood Eddie Murphy film ‘Nutty Professor’,” the source added.
The report further suggests that an international team of make-up and prosthetic artists is being roped in for the film.
Meanwhile, Akshay & Sonakshi have previously worked together in movies like ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ & more.
