Arjun Kapoor recently had an adorable photo shoot with half-sister Janhvi Kapoor.
Arjun and Anshula are Boney Kapoor’s children from his 1st marriage with the late Mona Shourie. He had Janhvi and Khushi from his 2nd marriage with the late Sridevi.
Though the siblings shared a strained equation earlier, their bond has evolved quite a lot from awkward silences to gradually resolving the baggage they carried.
Talking about his previous dynamic with Janhvi, Arjun told Harper’s Bazaar – “There were silences. We would meet, but there was no communication worth quantifying.”
Janhvi further added how they slowly started increasing spending time together over dinner.
“We started off by making plans over the first couple of months, but now we meet for family dinners every two or three weeks. It doesn’t feel like, ‘Oh, we must make an effort or we must meet’, there is a willingness to meet as a family. It feels much more organic now and I don’t know whether we are similar in terms of our personalities [even Khushi and I are very different from each other], but a lot of the baggage that we once carried was addressed once we spent time with each other,” Janhvi told the magazine.
Though the brother-sister duo is not heavily involved in each other’s lives, there is a certain security and comfort in their bond now.
Janhvi said – “It’s not like we go to each other’s homes every day, or know every detail about each other’s lives. But I felt an instant security with Arjun bhaiya and Anshula didi, a feeling of comfort. I wake up every day knowing that they always have my back. And I can say this with more conviction about them than anyone else in my life.”
