Recently, the heartthrob Kartik Aaryan announced his next movie- ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’.
Labelled as an epic love story, this film marks Kartik’s first collaboration with producer Sajid Nadiadwala.
However, seems like the movie title didn’t go well with a certain section of the audience. Satyanarayan Ki Katha translates to the story of Satyanarayan, which is another name for Hindu god Vishnu. Now, the makers have decided to the change title to ‘avoid hurting sentiments’.
Meanwhile, details about the new title are still kept under wraps. On Saturday, director Sameer Vidwans, who helmed the National Award-winning 2019 Marathi drama ‘Anandi Gopal’, released an official statement, which was reposted by Kartik on his social media handles.
The statement reads, “A title of the film is something that emerges organically through the creative process. We have taken a decision to change the title of our recently announced film ‘Satyanarayan Ki Katha’ to avoid hurting sentiments, even if that’s purely unintentional. Producers of the film and the creative team also are in complete support of this decision. We will be announcing a new title for our love story in the due course of our journey. Sincerely, Sameer Vidwans.”
Co-produced by Namah Pictures & Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the musical love saga is scheduled to go on floors by the end of this year.
