Popular TV personality Kishwer Merchantt is all set to start a new phase in her life as she is gearing up to embrace motherhood for the 1st time.
The actress is expecting her first child with Suyyash Rai and has often been sharing glimpses of her pregnancy journey.
Meanwhile, while talking to ETimes, the Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani actress recently opened up about her casting couch experience in the entertainment industry and shared that she was told by a big filmmaker “to sleep with the hero”.
“It happened with me when I had gone for a meeting- but just once. My mother was accompanying me. I was told that I’ll have to sleep with the hero. I politely turned down the offer and we left. I wouldn’t say ki ye bahut hota hai (I wouldn’t say that it happens a lot) or it’s a normal thing.”
“Industry badnaam hai lekin har industry mein ye cheez hoti hai (The industry is infamous but it happens in every industry).” On being asked if the hero & the producer, were very big names, she replied, “Yes, very big names.”
However, this unpleasant experience didn’t keep her away from work, especially in movies. “I was very focused at work. I was more inclined towards TV. I kept getting work in quality and quantity. All said and done, I am very happy with the way my career shaped up,” she said.
On the work front, Kishwer Merchantt appeared in TV shows like Ek Hasina Thi, Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, Hip hip Hurray and more. She also did one Bollywood movie titled Bheja Fry 2.
