Seems like 2021 is going to be a very busy year for Vidya Balan.
The actress will next be seen as a forest minister in Sherni, which will stream on Amazon Prime Video in June.
But after Sherni, what’s next? Well, we hear that Vidya is apparently all set to team up with Shefali Shah for a quirky flick.
If this Peeping Moon report is to be believed, Vidya will supposedly headline producer Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment‘s upcoming evocative comedy-drama, in which Shefali will play a pivotal role. The movie will reportedly be directed by Tumhari Sulu fame Suresh Triveni.
“It’s not surprising to see Suresh Triveni choosing Vidya Balan for his second directorial as well. Suresh wanted to work with Vidya again and pitched this specific script that she immensely liked. Vikram Malhotra backing the film was yet another reason everything fell into place so quickly,” their sources revealed.
The movie is said to be currently under pre-production and will reportedly go on floors once the lockdown restrictions are lifted in Mumbai. While the plot and character details are kept under wraps, the yet-to-be-titled movie, supposedly set in Mumbai, will reportedly talk about the social and economic contrast.
Meanwhile, this movie apparently marks Vidya’s third back-to-back collaboration with producer Vikram Malhotra. He has produced Vidya Balan starrer Shakuntala Devi & Sherni.
