Despite being a wonderful actress with a charming personality, Nushrratt too was rejected for a role in a pretty huge movie. Now when we say huge, we’re talking on an international scale. As for the reason, here it is!
After being shortlisted to play the role of Latika (played by Freida Pinto) from Slumdog Millionaire, Nushrratt didn’t see success in the remainder of the selection process. As per this report, the filmmakers rejected her because she was too charming to portray the character. Surprised? So were we!
“I lost a very big film internationally because they said I am too pretty to look like someone from the slums and I was like ‘Oh, okay’ but you know what I mean, I don’t think from that point of view. It’s almost like I’m starting this journey and I don’t know where it’s going to land up. How can you ever know? How can you think from a destination point of view when you don’t even know where the destination is? So, I can’t think like that. I feel like I’ll do a large disservice to the whole film and being an actor if I start thinking that if it’ll work or not,” Nushrratt had once said in an interview.
Yes, Nushrratt is extremely pretty but we think this versatile actress can pull off any role given to her! Look at her previous films if you find this hard to believe.
