Salman Khan’s much-awaited movie Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai finally got released on May 13.
The Prabhu Deva directorial released simultaneously in theatres and on Zee5’s ZeePlex (pay per view).
However, within a few hours of its release, the action-thriller was leaked online and started streaming “illegally” on pirated websites and messaging platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram.
On Saturday, Salman Khan released a statement to address the issue on social media. He also called illegal streaming of Radhe on pirated websites a “serious crime”. Not only that, but he even mentioned that serious action will be taken against those who participate in piracy.
Now, as per a SpotboyE report, the Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai makers- Zee Entertainment Enterprises has filed an official complaint at the Cyber Cell regarding the piracy of the Salman Khan-Disha Patani starrer. They have also released a statement that reads, “The officials are actively tracking down the phone numbers involved in this act of piracy, taking the required legal actions.”
“Films create livelihood, employment, and a source of income for millions of people working for the industry. Piracy, being the biggest threat to the entertainment industry, curbs down this source of livelihood. Films also contribute to the economy with the taxes paid to the Government. People engaged in spreading negatively impacting the growth of the industry and the livelihoods of the people working for it round the clock,” the statement added.
According to ETimes, no FIR has reportedly been registered regarding this matter yet.
