Salman Khan’s much-awaited movie Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is all set to release on May 13.
The Prabhu Deva directorial will be released both in theatres and on multiple platforms.
Given the current situation where India is facing the worst Coronavirus second wave, Salman Khan & Zee Entertainment have decided to donate the revenues earned from their upcoming Eid release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai for Covid-19 relief. Yes, you heard this right!
As per a SpotboyE report, Radhe producers, Salman Khan Films & Zee Entertainment, have supposedly partnered with GiveIndia for the relief work. The donation will help to procure medical equipment such as oxygen cylinders, concentrators, and ventilators.
As reported by India Times, Zee’s spokesperson said in a statement, “We sincerely hope that the support from the release of the film ‘Radhe’ will help amplify the resources to provide vital relief efforts to people affected by the pandemic.”
“Very importantly, we have also come to realize that holding up the release of a pre-shot film may not help us in any way but using its proceeds towards fighting the pandemic is a more suitable and pragmatic approach. ‘Radhe’s’ release on ZEE5 and ZeePlex will empower us to contribute more in these extremely difficult times,” a spokesperson of Salman Khan Films added.
Now, this is indeed a good decision.
