2. When Rishi Ji Blamed Neetu For His Failures
In his memoir, late Rishi Kapoor made a khullam khulla confession of blaming his wife Neetu for his failures that he faced in his career. After the huge success of his debut movie Bobby, Rishi Kapoor’s expectations were quite high from his other movies, but unfortunately, they didn’t do well at the box office. This led Rishi Ji into depression, and he ended up blaming Neetu, who was pregnant with Ridhima back then.
“Neetu was pregnant with Riddhima and had to endure my breakdown in that fragile condition. I finally came through it with the help of supportive colleagues, family, and friends, but I can only imagine how agonizing the experience must have been for her.”
3. Neetu Singh Felt Threatened With Dimple Kapadia?
Though their dating rumours created a lot of buzzes back then, Rishi Kapoor revealed that he never dated Dimple Kapadia, in fact, they were never more than friends. After Bobby was released, Dimple got married to Rajesh Khanna. 10 years later, when she made her comeback with Rishi Kapoor in Saagar, Rishi Ji’s wife Neetu apparently felt threatened by Dimple.
“Many years into our marriage, Neetu confided in me that the only time she had felt threatened was when I worked with Dimple in Saagar. But she needn’t have worried. Dimple was a friend, even if she may have been a little more than that during Bobby. Ten years had gone by; she was coming out of a marriage with two children of her own and I was also well settled with two kids.”
